Our Christmas

Christmas Eve we had a special candlelight dinner followed by Family Home Evening. We read the Christmas story and talked a bit about how each of the people in the story must have felt. Then we opened Christmas pj's, set out cookies and letters for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. And then they were off to bed (they all sleep upstairs on Christmas Eve so as not to sneak a peek at Santa). Needless to say, not a lot of sleeping went on.

For some reason we're never really good at getting Christmas morning pictures. Each year I say we're going to do better, but it just doesn't happen. I think once everyone starts needing help putting things together and unpackaging all the tape and twisty ties, our thoughts never get back to the camera. So, here are just a few that we took.

Patiently waiting for Grandma and Grandpa to arrive so they can see if Santa came.

Even though the adults swear there's nothing downstairs for the kids, they can't wait for the "OK" from Dad to come down.

Kali takes a little longer than the rest!

Let the fun begin.
Christmas was a fun, relaxing day. We opened presents and just played and stayed in our jammies the whole day. As a matter of fact, we stayed in our jammies the next day too! It was just nice being together.
