You've got the sweetest little baby face!

We finally had Kali's pictures taken for her first birthday. She had just been into the doctor for breathing treatments, so she was wary of strangers. She didn't exactly trust the photographer, hence the lack of smiles. But we still managed to get some really sweet pictures.

I can't even think of anything I like to do that I'd want to do for 3 hours!

This was my mom's response when I told her that I wanted to train for a half-marathon. My friend, Wendee, and I decided that we'd speed walk the Top of Utah Half Marathon. I trained for a couple of months. It was great to have something to work towards. The race was great! There weren't many walkers, so we came in close to last. But we didn't have any problems finishing it. We finished in 2 hours, 53 minutes. That was an average of 4.5 miles an hour!

And then there was one...

It has been a busy couple of weeks. Miranda and Arianna started school August 23. They love their teachers and being back with their friends. Jacob started kindergarten a week later. He was a bit apprehensive to ride the bus, but all is well. I seemed to be more nervous than Jacob was. And Sabrina started preschool yesterday. It's only 2 days a week, but all of a sudden I see them a leaving me. Kali is all I have left. Rory said, "So, do you need another one?" My retort was, "Why? They would just leave me too!" My solace comes in the fact that for an hour and a half each week I'm going to get to do what I want! If you want to see my house clean, that may be the only time you can stop by. We are just glad that they all have wonderful teachers and love school. I'm including pictures from each of their first days of school.

Park Day

One of our weekly highlights of the summer has been Park Day with the Lamb Family. August 22nd marked our last one for the year. While we are going to miss our weekly get togethers, perhaps a little break will be good. Sabrina was starting to call Kourtnee her sister, and the rest of the kids were beginning to insist that nothing was fun without the Lambs!
