Miranda's a Winner!!

Miranda entered the Reflections Contest last fall. She decided to enter in the 3-D and Visual Art divisions. We finally got the results and she did great!!! Above she is pictured with her dragon she made for the 3-D entry that won at the District level and went to Region. She is also holding her Visual Arts entry that won at the school level and went to District.

Miranda, you never cease to amaze us! Your talent is a quiet one, not generally surrounded by applause, but you deserve it none the less!

Orchestra Concert - Spring 2010

Arianna really enjoyed playing her violin in the orchestra. They have done really well considering it's their first year. Her final concert, that was combined with the other schools in the valley, was held at Mountain Crest High School. Arianna, you are one talented lady. Daddy and I couldn't be more proud!

They did a fun Boogie Woogie piece and all wore sunglasses.

Piano Recital - Spring 2010

Miranda, Arianna, and Jake all did a great job in the Spring Recital. Their teacher chose to have the kids learn piano pieces that they could play rapidly. She let them choose the speed they wanted. It was a lot of fun! The whole recital was over in about 40 minutes! Jake still really enjoys piano and practicing. Arianna and Miranda - not so much. Regardless of how they feel, they are doing an amazing job!

Family - It's about Time

Kali's Field Trip

Kali and I got to go to the Logan Fire Station for a field trip today. Kali was excited to go, but got bored kind of fast. The fireman that took us through was really cute with the kids. I think the moms got more out of it, though. He even told the kids that there was a good possibility that their house could start on fire. Wow! That's a comfort. And yes, Kali is now scared our house is going to catch on fire.

Spring in Utah

Spring in Utah is a confusing time. One day it's warm, the next day it snows. I ran to pick

Miranda up from Art one day and when I got home this was how Kali was dressed. Let's start at the bottom. She has two right foot boots on. One is hers, the other is Sabrina's. When I left she was fully dressed, I have no idea what possessed her to put on her swimsuit. But obviously, she was smart enough to know it was a little cool outside - hence the winter coat. And of course, to top off the whole ensemble is a green flower that went with the cutest, practical sundress that obviously was just not good enough for playing in the back yard. This is who I hang out with all day, no wonder I feel confused most of the time!

Sabrina looses her first tooth + 3 others

Sabrina's adult teeth started emerging behind her front row of teeth. While this is great for sharks, it doesn't work so well for princesses. Her baby teeth weren't even a little bit loose. We went to the dentist expecting to have one, maybe two teeth pulled. When he told us we'd have to have 4 pulled, I was shocked. Thank goodness for laughing gas! She left with four gaping holes in her mouth. I was a little concerned about how she would react to her appearance. She ran right into our bathroom and came out with a big grin on her face. "I think I look just adwable (adorable)!" I love it! The toothfairy actually came on time. Perhaps it's because she had to take out a loan that day to pay for all those teeth! Sabrina, we think you're pretty adwable too!
