Miranda had greatly anticipated her birthday this year. All of the girls (and boys for that matter) in her Primary class had all graduated. Leaving her on her own in Primary for a couple of months. She was thrilled to turn twelve to be able to move on. She LOVES everything about Young Women. It was sad to see her leave Primary, since the whole family is there now (Mom and Dad included). But it was time and she is right where she belongs.
Miranda's birthday drug out over several days/weeks. Grandma and Grandpa Farr came on the Saturday before her birthday (it fell on a Sunday this year).
Then we celebrated her birthday with presents, cake, going to church, visiting with Grandma Carol and playing on her new Dance Revolution game.
She also was able to celebrate with friends this year. We decided to hold off on her friend party until Christmas break. It worked out great. Sage, Adrie, Ariel and Abbie all came in their pajamas for a "late night" party. They made their own pizzas, did a craft, had cake and ice cream, opened presents and played Band Hero until 11pm. There was definitely a lot of giggling going on!

At age 12 Miranda is growing into such a beautiful young lady. It's amazing to watch her mature and take on more responsibilities. She has had quiet a year with her Reflections entry going on to nation, starting middle school, more reflections entries going on to higher levels, babysitting, and just growing up. She still takes art lessons and has been able to stay after school for art club when life isn't too busy. She takes piano, and though it isn't her favorite thing, she does a wonderful job. Miranda has become such a good babysitter for us and has enjoyed babysitting for a few of the neighbors. With two semesters completed at Middle School she is still a 4.0 student. But what we love most about you, Miranda, is your tender heart. Thank you for setting a peaceful tone in our house. Dad and I love you so much!

I can't believe she is 12!! I still remember working with her in nursery and what a sweet little girl she was then -- she has grown to be such a beautiful, accomplished young woman! It is so fun to watch your kids grow up through your blog!
